From the entire logs, we may get more useful clues. I have zipped up the smsts. I am uncertain how to check the version of the ConfigMgr Client Package on the server but the "File version" for ccmsetup. I tried both of the things you suggested - I updated the Distribution Point for the boot image and edited the Task Sequence to remove the "Auto Apply Drivers" step.
But the results were the same - the Client package is not successful same error and thus the rest of the task sequence does not work. Thanks for your detailed information.
The client was installed successfully. As shown below:. Thanks for your time. Hi, I have compared our logs and found some clues: During the second successful automatic client push installation, it compares with OSD installation whether its client version and installation file version are more newer or not. And we find that some installation files are really newer than the OSD ones. So please kindly try the following actions: 1. Create a Configuration Manager Client Upgrade package, distribute the upgrade package to all distribution points, then replace the client package in the task sequence.
Please refer to: Create a package and program for the client software 2. Please help check if there more than one client package in your environment. Please check if there are any specific installation properties that are different from the installation properties of client push installation.
Hope my answer could help you. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks and regards, Simon. Setting up an alternative Package to deploy the ConfigMgr Client did not help - we receive the same error messages and the sequence does not complete.
The installation properties for our Client Push are the same as what you show but with our site code of course. So working on the theory that there may be a driver component to this problem, I took the time to remove all the superseded and duplicated drivers on our deployment server.
Two identical model PCs were imaged at more or less the same time; one worked and one failed. Here are the zipped logs from both:. Apart from the time stamps and random ish things like PIDs the log files are essentially identical right up until they aren't. We do have multiple domains in AD, yes. The MobileClient. After that change, we were able to successfully image two PCs twice each without failure. I will need to repeat this a few more times but for the moment this seems to be the fix. Once we are satisfied that our issue is truly resolved I will mark your message as the answer.
